1. Plan International Tanzania is an International humanitarian child–centered development organization without religious, political or government affiliation. Plan’s mission is to achieve lasting improvements in the quality of life of deprived children in developing countries through a process that unites people across cultures and adds meaning to their lives. Plan international in Tanzania is operating in Dar es Salaam, Coast, Morogoro, Geita, Dodoma and Mwanza regions.
2. Plan International Tanzania has set aside funds for the operations during the fiscal year 2016. It is intended that part of the proceeds of the fund will be used to cover eligible payment under the contract to conduct the research assignment, titled: Analysis of Gender Based Violence faced by Adolescent Girls in the Urban Setting.
3. Bidding is conducted through local open competitive bidding. Interested bidders must confirm their intention to bid indicating all relevant contact information including an email address to tenders@plan-international.org, attn: Head of Procurement and Logistics. Plan is not responsible for any costs related to printing of the bidding documents.
4. Bidders shall submit Technical and Financial Proposals each be enclosed in a separate envelope and marked “Technical Proposal” and “Financial Proposal” respectively. The two envelopes shall then be enclosed in a single envelope.
5. Bidders must submit the proposals in a sealed envelope by hand or post to: The Country Director, Plan International Tanzania, Plot no. 496 Mikocheni Light Industrial Area, P O Box 3517, Dar es Salaam before 10 AM Monday 2nd May 2016, marked the respective RFP number. Not to be opened before 10 AM EAT Monday 2nd May 2016. Electronic and Late bids will be rejected.
