SBL has 3 fully operational breweries in Dar es Salaam, Mwanza and Moshi with a combined capacity of 1.3m Hls. Moshi has a capacity of c600khls per annum and a scope to expand to more than 1 million in F14.
Key Purpose of the role
• To communicate and track progress against projects to programme sponsors and the executive team;
• To advise and coach project team members on robust and thorough analytics;
Key Accountabilities
• Provide financial input to key strategic initiatives that accurately measures the investment return and financial viability of those projects;• Work cross-functionally within the business and across the Diageo group of companies to engage the right stakeholders and subject matter experts for key inputs;
• Monitor progress against each initiative for timely reporting back to project sponsors and local executive team;
• Constructively challenge, input and maximise value in key business areas and drive exceptional business performance (raise the bar)
Qualifications and Experience Required
• Degree qualified, with a finance qualification
• Extensive post-qualification experience in an FMCG company or large developing market (at least 5 years), preferable with Supply Chain or Production costing experience
• Significant amount of time in a finance leadership role, strong technical accounting skills necessary and strong knowledge of internal controls and risk management
• Outstanding skills in the areas of leadership, coaching, mentoring, motivation, communication/influencing/negotiating skills, good relationship management and interpersonal skills
• Highly developed influencing skills capable of communicating the big picture in approachable language and motivating people across all levels and functions in the business
• Self starter with high levels of energy & commitment
