SBL was incorporated in 1988 but commenced commercial operations in 1996 with one brewery in Dar es Salaam. The company was acquired by EABL in 2010 and has three breweries located in Dar es Salaam, Mwanza and Moshi. SBL key beer brands include Serengeti, Tusker and Senator, as well as distribution of global Diageo spirit brands.
Key Purpose of the role
• Support the improvement in the PTP payment to terms (PTT) and invoice matched first time KPIs
• To support and work with the Financial Controller to hold ABSC to account in delivering process excellence and efficient services
• Provide guidance to the T&E and PCARD Coordinator to ensure compliance to the policies by all SBL employees and that issues with employees not adhering to the process are properly escalated and managed by the HR team
• Provide clear leadership and direction to the SAP operators for accurately, timely and complete capturing of data. Review reports issued by the MFG team and reconcile with the Supply Finance BPM reports. Work closely with plant managers, brewing managers, packaging managers, and quality and stores managers for the 3 plants to ensure that MFG process is complete and roles and responsibilities are clear.

• Ensure all issues raised by market stakeholders are responded to within a reasonable time

• Support key stakeholders in the markets to achieve business goals e.g. cost management, waste management, staff advances etc.
• Delivery and achievement of defined and approved KPIs and Service Level Agreements with ABSC and Market functions
• Identify inefficiencies in the process and BAU, drive effectiveness improvement initiatives.
3.Controls and Compliance
• Ensure all process and transaction outcomes comply with regulatory & statutory requirements
• Diageo Policies are applied, by ensuring effective and robust process controls are in place and everyone involved in the processes understands and fulfils the requirements.
Qualifications and Experience Required
Qualifications
• Finance Degree level
• Knowledge of accounting processes & Chart of Accounts requirements
Work experience
• Minimum 5 years of Financial experience in a multinational (ideally multicultural/multilingual) corporate environment, with in depth exposure to process improvement and SAP preferred.
• Skilled in project management, verbal and written communications and driving process improvements.
• Highly numerate / strong analytical skills / comfortable with detail but able to interpret detail for senior stakeholders
• Proven experience of building, developing and sustaining relationships with key stakeholders.
• Internal controls awareness.
• A deep accounting background.
