JOB SUMMARY
A key member of TradeMark East Africa’s (TMEA’s) Programmes and Outcomes Delivery team, the SOL, Trade Environment is responsible for ensuring programme quality and delivery of TMEA’s second Strategic Objective of an ‘’enhanced trade environment in East Africa’’.
In particular, s/he will ensure that TMEA’s strategic objective around trade policy in East Africa, and associated strategic impacts, outcomes and outputs are achieved. This mainly involves facilitating implementation of the EAC’s Customs Union and Common Market protocols at a national and regional level.
The job holder will ensure the alignment of trade environment goals to TMEA’s strategy, and ensure that the linkages between trade environment policy, EAC integration policies, trade facilitation and trade in services are mainstreamed in all aspects of TMEA’s work and clearly linked to organisational objectives at both the national and regional levels.
