Position Description:
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Control of all import and export of goods.
• Perform operational duties in ordering, receiving, storing, inventory, issuing, distributing, shipping and record keeping.
• Maintain stock levels.
• Locate and order non-stock items and equipment parts.
· Prepare and expedite orders.
• Inspect items received, tagging and batching.
• Handle freight claims, quantity shortages, breakage, duplicate shipments, and back orders.
· Maintain accurate shelf life records of stock.
· Maintain inventory of all tools and equipment including calibration register to ensure that all special tools require calibration and have valid calibration certificates.
· Maintain the store in a clean and orderly state.
· Maintain satisfactory storage conditions in the bonded store to avoid parts deterioration and ease of identity.
· Report to Engineering in all aspects of Stores operation.
Qualifications and Experience:
• Diploma from a recognisedinstitution. Diploma in Logistics or Supply Chain Management advantageous.
• At least 5 years’ experience in the same field preferably with an aviation company.
• Training in Logistics, Shipping, Import & Export and Stores Management.
• Specialisedin one or more stores activities, or have responsibility for a complete stores facility and material handling with knowledge of stores management software.
• Knowledge on the procedures or methods of handling warranty or damage claims, quantity shortages, duplicate shipments, back orders, returned goods, inventory shortages, and other stores procedures.
