Mission/ Core purpose of the Job:
Meet or exceed sales quotas by managing account representatives of Authorized Distributors and their reseller channels to leverage the Smile product suite.
Motivate and direct channel partners to exceed sales objectives by continuously striving to minimize sales conflict, providing education on the company value proposition and identifying sales opportunities.
Evangelize the value of Smile services by coaching, developing, and motivating account representatives by delivering on-going sales training, and proactively seek out ways to increase productivity and revenue performance.
Aggressively drive authorized representatives to maximize performance and exceed sales objectives. Determine success measures around defined benchmarks and communicate progress toward goals on a regular basis to deliver expected business results.
Effectively manage Authorized Distributors and their representatives’ sales activity through daily/weekly forecast to meet unit sales objectives.
Resolve all conflicts and offer continuous support to Smile‘s indirect channel partner s to ensure channel harmony.
Provide data and summaries for reporting and analysis.Educate channel partners on company products and services, processes, procedures, and rules of engagement, etc.
Provide a single point of contact for guidance and direction regarding all levels of product information, pricing and technical support.
Develop channel partner business plans and provides timely, accurate reports and other information on partner activities.
Provide feedback to management and channel partners to ensure that sales and marketing plans, programs and policies are executed through the levels of channel operations.
Provide analysis and recommendations for continuous development of channel programs.
Key Performance Areas:
Achievement of Indirect sales Channel daily, weekly and monthly sales targets as agreed with line manager.
Implementation of channel strategy and plans. Implementation and management of channel programs with Authorized Distributors and their channel partners.
Development and delivery of monthly strategic sales plans – the who, what and where of how sales targets will be achieved.
Development and delivery of weekly route plans.
Ongoing stakeholder management of existing Authorized Distributors and Channel Partners – building relationships with key influencers/decisions makers in Sales, IT, Finance, and Procurement.
Knowledge of and full compliance with Smile approval processes for commercial agreements.
Knowledge of and full compliance with all Smile sales and cash handling processes.
Knowledge of internal Smile customer administration systems.
Minimum Requirements
Education:
University degree.
Experience:
2+ years of successful distributor sales experience as a Territory Manager, Channel Manager, or other related Indirect Channel Sales background.
Experience in telecom and/or FMCG is preferred in customer-facing environment.
Skills / physical competencies:
The ability and desire to sell; Proven track record of exceeding sales quotas in a fast paced, highly transactional, quota driven environment.
Proven ability to fearlessly initiate, establish, and nurture partner relationships in person and over the phone.
Must possess an achievement mentality with a proven track record of penetrating accounts and driving results to grow distribution channel.
Ability to work non-traditional hours to participate in evening and weekend events.
Knowledge of wireless, data communications, voice and telecommunications technology a plus.
Excellent communication skills; excellent organizational and time management skills.
Demonstrated influencing and negotiation skills
A positive, confident and determined approach.
Strong understanding of how to manage and motivate others to sell consumer and B2B products.
Resilience and the ability to cope with rejection.
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
