Key Roles & Responsibilities
1. Issuance and processing of Banking Facility Letters (BFLs) upon receipt of duly approved Business Credit Approval (BCA), observing TAT and high standards of accuracy and make sure the appropriate securing documentation on the Bank’s Standard forms have been properly prepared before dispatch to the customer.
2. Conduct First level checking on the aforesaid contractual and security documentation with supporting corporate authorization executed and returned by customers and identify any discrepancies.
3. Issue Security Compliance Certificate (SCC) jointly with the Credit Documentation Manager within TAT on receipt of last outstanding security document.
4. Ensuring all condition precedents are fulfilled before drawdown of facilities and monitoring of all conditions subsequent.
5. Liaising with external legal counsel and other service providers on security documentation process and ensuring that securing documentation and other conditions have been perfected/ completed prior to authorizing the drawdown of facilities (unless waiver held).
6. Issue deficiency reports upon receipt of BCA and/or duly accepted BFL.
7. Maintain, update and lodge contractual and security documentation accurately in the Collateral Management System (CMS) for all the perfected security documents.
8. To prepare instructions and follow up Banks external lawyers in the preparation of non-standard documentation.
9. To remain alert to the risk of money laundering and assist in the Bank’ efforts in combating it by adhering to the key principles in relation to AML-CDD procedures.
10. To generate reminders to Personal guarantors on their contingent liability to the Bank biannually.
11. To ensure prompt renewal of all dated security documents and reassignments of mortgaged property.
12. Work on ad hoc projects as required.
Qualifications & Skills
- University Degree.
-Good knowledge on Bank’s products , processes and services specifically Wholesale Banking .
- Good working knowledge of the operations of other departments within the Bank.
- Good working knowledge on Tanzania Companies Act and legal requirements for perfection of security
documentation.
-Good Intra and Inter-personal skills.
- Good supervisory and management skills.
- Good working knowledge of Collateral Management System (CMS).
