Working in partnership with Caritas Mocambicana and Caritas Xai-Xai, the Emergency Response Officer (ERO) will manage all aspects of the response to the current flood crisis in Gaza Province Mozambique with the best possible efficiency and effectiveness.
Job role Working with partners is central to CAFOD’s humanitarian response and the ERO will play an important role in improving and developing the capacity of partners in responding to the flood crisis by providing support, knowledge and building long-term capacity. All roles undertaken by the ERO will have the aim of achieving peace, security and recovery in accordance with CAFOD’s mission and values.
Your profile •Educated to degree level OR equivalent professional experience in a relevant field. •Previous experience in a humanitarian programme environment overseas OR in more than one humanitarian context •Good analytical skills, skills in review of documents and report writing. •Fluent in written and spoken English and Portuguese
