We are looking for a talented and enthusiastic Web Systems Administrator/Developer to join the Web Services team at the University of York.

You will be part of a team that is committed to continually improving the way we work. We are increasingly using the latest techniques to create an enjoyable and productive development environment. Over the last year the team have introduced many new working practices and are looking for candidates that can help continue the pace of change. 

As part of a small team this is a varied role and you will work in two key areas: 

• The design and build of applications that support teaching, learning, research and administrative departments.
• The operation of our CMS (Site Manager -Terminal 4) and development of our web server infrastructure.

Educated to degree level and an experienced developer, you will be able to work closely with clients to define clear acceptance criteria and estimates as part of our planning process.

The post is full-time, 37 hours per week and is available from November 2012. Salary is within the range of £29,249 - £35,938 per annum.
