Any request for clarification must be sent in writing, or by standard electronic communication to the e-mail procurement@nepad.org. NEPAD will respond in writing or by standard electronic mail and will send written copies of the response, including an explanation of the query without identifying the source of inquiry, to all consultants.
The overall objective of this assignment is to generate economic and social evidence as well as stir processes that will improve the understanding of SLM interventions in order to rationalize decision-making and resource allocation by the government of Lesotho.
The cost benefit analysis is expected to present the extent, severity and impact of land degradation, in order to provide information on the costs of degradation, benefits of SLM practices, and trade-offs involved in policy choices that could guide decision-making, with the aim of supporting the mainstreaming of SLM.
Undertaking CBA studies will enhance the effort done by the government of Lesotho in order to reverse environmental degradation and adapt to climate change by providing analytical work that will enable Lesotho to make informed decisions vis-à-vis SLM investments thereby contributing to the realization of the objective of scaling up SLM faster.
