Key Functions:
1. Maintain the approved system of accounting throughout the University and keep up-to-date accounting records and financial statements on principle of best professional practices;
2. Be responsible for keeping of the cost accounting records and financial accounts for revenue and capital budgets of the university;
3. Lead and coordinate all budgeting activities in the University in accordance with the budgeting procedures of IUIU;
4. Supervise and ensure the prompt collection and verification of all categories of fees including other revenue due to the University and the prompt banking intact, of all revenue collections to respective University Bank Accounts;
5. Be responsible for consultation, development and adoption with the approval of the Rector-ship, appropriate new accounting packages with a view to enhance efficiency of data, base and accounting information for decision making;
6. To assist the Vice Rector Finance and Administration in the discharge of his financial related duties.
Requirement:
Minimum requirements
1. Should have MBA/MSc (Accounting & Finance) and CPA or ACCA or CI MA or equivalent professional qualifications and relevant first degree (B.COM, BBA.BBS in Finance/Accounting);
2. Should have strong leadership, interpersonal and communication skills with track record of managing budget and instituting effective financial management systems;
3. Should have at least five years working experience in administration of a reputable institution at a senior level;
4. Must posses good computer skills and be conversant with appropriate accounting and financial management packages.

Salary Scale: IUA3 (a two years contract renewable upon satisfactory performance)
Key Functions:
1. Reviewing the financial and accounting systems in operation.
2. Auditing procurement and payment procedure to ensure proper transaction of the university business.
3. Conducting manpower auditing to ensure remunerations confirm to the university budget and rules.
4. Conducting store audit to ensure their safe custody, efficiency and economic usage.
5. Planning and programming for the department and supervise subordinates therein.

Minimum requirements:
1. Must have an MBA/MSc (Accounting and Finance) or a first fcr an upper second class degree in B.Com, BBA/BBS with accounting option from a recognized university. However those with a lower second but have completed their ACCA or CPA can be considered.

Key Functions:
1. Preparing periodical financial statements and reports.
2. Reconciling bank statements in order to iron out discrepancies between cash books and bank statements.
3. Carry out daily financial adjustments from journals, vouchers and ledgers.
4. Working with external auditors and providing answers to their queries.
5. Supervising the works of the staff in the section.

1. Inspect/examine the university accounts records to ensure adherence to financial and accounting rules and regulations.
2. Verifying and validating payments before they are made
3. Auditing revenue collections, outward payments and procurement procedures of goods and services.
4. Guiding accounting staff on proper financial procedures and regulations.
5. Carry out special investigations as requested by the Rector
6. Advising the university on matters of financial accountability
7. Preparing audit reports and submitting them to the relevant authorities
8. Detecting fraud, omissions and commissions in the university accounting system.

Salary Scale: IUA6 (a one year contract renewable upon satisfactory performance)
Key Functions:
1. Review source documents for accuracy, completeness, correctness and consistency;
2. Keep accurate and updated records of the cash book;
3. Daily posting of fees deposits slips, bills payable, petty cash payments and bankings;
4. Follow standard accounting procedures and University guidelines at all times and in all cases;
5. Participate in stock movements reconciliation and periodic stock- take exercise;
6. Reconcile debtors’ accounts and discuss them with the Bursar or Assistant Bursar;
7. Reconciliation of bank accounts with the cash books as prepared by the University Bursary on a monthly basis and submits the reconciliation statements to the Bursar for endorsing/checking;
8. Assist in developing, maintaining and analyzing budgets, preparing periodic reports that compare budgeted costs to actual costs.

Key Functions:
1. Serving the users at the service counter (charging & discharging/ clearing users)
2. Guiding the users in locating & retrieving information materials both physical and electronic sources;
3. Shelving of information materials and ensuring good library order and organization;
4. Tracking the defaulters by writing overdue reminders
5. Ensuring compliance to library rules & regulations by the library users;
6. Assisting in book processing i.e. Pasting, stamping, recording, simple repairs among others;

Key Functions:
1. Thorough checking of all the library clients before they enter and leave the library premises;
2. Ensuring that all un acceptable items, gargets that are prohibited in the library are left at the library entrance on the shelves specified;
3. Ensuring that there is maximum order in the library i.e. clients observe silence, sitting arrangements, respect for one another among others;
4. To safe guard all library property and ensure that non is taken out of the premises without permission from the University Librarian or his Assistant.

JOB TITLE: Enrolled Nurse (1 post)
Responsible to: The University Medical Officer.

Key Functions:
1. To Prepare patients for examination and minor surgical procedures;
2. Issues and administers drugs as prescribed by the Medical Doctors or clinicians and keep relevant records;
3. To supervise the cleanliness of the Health Centre;
4. Accompanies critical patients referred to the hospital and hand over the patient to the hospital.
