Organizational Setting |
The Office of Internal Oversight Services (OIOS) was established by the Director General to strengthen the IAEA's internal oversight services and its ability to ensure management efficiency and programme effectiveness and to enhance accountability. OIOS consolidates the functions of internal oversight, covering internal audit, programme evaluation, management services and investigations, under the authority and responsibility of the Director of OIOS, who reports directly to the Director General. |
Main purpose |
As a member of a team reporting to the Director of OIOS, the Evaluation Officer/Researcher (i) conducts evaluations and (ii) provides research and analytical support to improve efficiency and effectiveness in the Programme Evaluation function. |
Role |
The Evaluation Officer is a researcher and analyst in support of evaluation projects and a project manager for evaluation projects. |
Partnerships |
The Evaluation Officer establishes relationships with: IAEA senior management, programme managers and officers to discuss evaluation plans, progress and results; National Liaison Officers and counterparts to coordinate field visits and to gather information through field visits; and consultants/ experts to discuss assignments and the follow-up on project work. Furthermore, the Evaluation Officer interacts with all OIOS staff in the planning, conduct and reporting of evaluation projects. |

Remuneration |
The IAEA offers an attractive remuneration package including a tax-free annual net base salary starting at US $56 018 (subject to mandatory deductions for pension contributions and health insurance), a variable post adjustment which currently amounts to US $34 283*, dependency benefits, rental subsidy, education grant, relocation and repatriation expenses; 6 weeks' annual vacation, home leave, pension plan and health insurance.
