The University of Lincoln was awarded HEFCE Strategic Development Funding in 2009 to establish a New School of Engineering at its Brayford Campus in the centre of Lincoln. This is an ongoing and groundbreaking initiative, in partnership with Siemens Industrial Turbomachinery and other employers in the engineering sector, which seeks to develop engineering education for the 21st century. With a specialism in power and energy, and the scope to develop related areas including control, electrical and mechanical engineering, the school offers undergraduate, postgraduate and research degrees as well as engaging in world-class research, knowledge transfer and employer engagement. You will join a fast-growing and research intensive team with the aspiration to establish a world-class academic centre with a reputation for engagement and relevance.
We're looking to appoint 5 enthusiastic and committed new Lecturers/Senior Lecturers/Readers to join a highly application driven School of Engineering, carrying out major research and development programmes with a diverse portfolio of UK and International companies. We are looking for people who:
- Are established academics or rising stars who will return strong 3* and 4* outputs for the Research Excellence Framework (REF).
- Will generate substantial grant income.
- Will lead and develop areas of strategic academic importance and world-class research.
- Will contribute to the development of the first new School of Engineering to be established in the UK for more than 20 years.
