Engineering Assistant Wanted at Wakulima Tea Company Ltd

Consistent with our vision of continual improvement and development, the Company wishes to recruit an Engineering Assistant to undergo an Engineering management training programme with the intention of taking on management responsibility at the Company's operations in Tukuyu, Mbeya Begion

WaKulima Tea Company Ltd is the largest Smallholder Tea Company in Tanzania supporting over 12000 smallholder farmers as well as its own estates. The two units produce 5m kgs of tea each year.

The Engineering Assistant will undergo a structured programme consistent with the area of competence. It is likely that the individual will take on early responsibilities and these will be handed over as competence is attained during the program

Guidance will be provided but self improvement is very much expected of the individual. Reporting will be to the Engineering Manager.

Qualifications:

Applications are invited from male and female Tanzania nationals, who are below

35 years of age, with the following qualifications:

A good educational background preferably to Degree level in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Industrial or Electro - Mechanical).

Some work experience, preferably in the manufacturing or engineering sector is not mandatory but would be an added advantage.

Aptitude for good communication and teamwork.

Self motivated with the ability to work independently sometimes under pressure and to tight schedules.

Enjoy living in a rural environment.

Remuneration:

An appropriate salary & benefits will be offered to the right candidates both dung the training and thereafter.
