Chemonics seeks democracy, human rights, and governance experts for the anticipated USAID democracy and governance projects worldwide. We are looking for individuals who have a passion for making a difference in the lives of people around the world.
Projects will focus on a range of technical issues and sectors, including:
- Anticorruption
- Local governance and decentralization
- Civil society, civil engagement, and/or media
- Security sector reform
- Rule of law
- Legislative strengthening
- Electoral support
- Gender and social inclusion
Qualifications:
- Advanced degree in relevant field strongly preferred
- Minimum 15 years of technical expertise and professional work experience in one or more of the subsectors identified above
- Minimum five years of experience working on donor-funded development projects; experience working on USAID projects strongly preferred
- Management experience on donor-funded development projects (for those candidates interested in management positions)
- Strong communications and interpersonal skills with evidence of ability to productively interact with a wide range and different levels of organizations (government, private sector, NGOs, and research institutions)
- Demonstrated leadership, versatility, and integrity
