MAIN PURPOSE
To ensure that user requirements for the business are documented, developed and delivered and get involved in the designing optimal solutions including process optimization and suggested system and people changes.
JOB OBJECTIVES
To review, analyse and comment on business requirements in terms of feasibility and business impact on the business unit environment.
Compile business requirement specifications including User Acceptance Test criteria
To ensure that deliverables developed by vendors or suppliers meet the business requirements and quality standards.
To analyse existing applications and processes, identify and implement improvements through the use of Business Analysis methodologies.
To use Business Analysis best practice framework to communicate and facilitate execution and implementation of new systems and projects in the business unit
Analyse statistics and trouble-shoot processes to identify improvements.
To conduct ongoing research in systems to ensure that optimal technologies are in place in line with recognized, international best practise.
To ensure effective communication and liaison with all stakeholders.
JOB KNOWLEDGE
Business Analysis is essential
Understanding of systems, applications & processes is essential
Project Management is desirable
Understanding of the Insurance Industry and Insurance software packages highly desirable
Ability to work directly with third parties on a very technical level is essential
Ability to manage third parties and commercial contract understanding with third parties is essential
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Matric (essential)
Relevant 3 year Degree essential in B.Com / B.Eng. in Information Systems and
A minimum of 5 years’ experience in Business Analysis is essential
Critical to have technical / professional qualifications and appetite for new technology
Post graduate degree preferred
IIBA registration advantageous
OR
Matric (essential)
A minimum of 8 years’ experience in Business Analysis is essential
Critical to have technical / professional qualifications and appetite for new technology
Post graduate degree preferred
IIBA registration advantageous
