3. Manager, Human Resources
Nature and Scope
The successful candidate will work in the Human Resources Directorate and report to the Director, Human Resources and Administration. She/he will be involved in all matters related to Human Resources Management and Development including recruitment and selection, compensation, benefits and employee relations.
Key Responsibilities
1. Ensure preparation, implementation and monitoring of Human Resources policies and procedures.
2. Provide guidance on all matters related to industrial relations, labor laws and employment terms and conditions,
3. Advise on matters regarding staff recruitment, appointments, performance appraisal and staff compensation and benefits.
4. Ensure effective relationships are built with colleagues by giving advice and receiving feedback.
5. Implement and monitor the disciplinary and grievance handling procedures.
6. Prepare payroll and supervise implementation of staff benefits including pension and staff loans.
7. Manage the Employee Wellness Program (EWP) and manage medical programmes of the employees and their dependants,
8. Ensure relevant personnel records are kept and updated as required.
9. Supervise all HR related administrative activities including the Registry functions.
10., Perform any other related duties as may be assigned from time to time by the Supervisor.
Qualification, Knowledge and Experience
Essential
1. Bachelor Degree in Human Resources Management, Public Administration or related field obtained from a recognized institution.
2. Possession of a Masters' Degree will be ad added advantage
3. Minimum of eight (8) years working experience, of which' four (4) must be in a senior position in related function at a reputable institution.
4. A good knowledge of labor laws and industrial relations matters.
5. Excellent written and communication skills with ability to communicate both in English and Kiswahili.
6. Excellent and well developed interpersonal and organizational skills.
7. Must be a team player and very self-motivated
8. Must be computer literate
Preferred
1. Ability to interpret labor laws and apply them within the context of the bank's human resources environment.
2. Strong negotiation skills.
3. Personally credible with strong organizational skills.
4. Ability to champion staff issues at higher levels of management.
5. Ability to counsel staff on workplace issues.
6. Ability to maintain high level of performance standards and discipline among staff.
