The Small Industries Development Organization is a parastatal Organization established by an act of Parliament No. 28 in 1973 to plan, Co-ordinate, Promote and Offer a variety of services to Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs). Technician Grade II-1 POST
Reporting to the General Foreman
REQUIRED QUALIFICATION
Holder of Ordinary Diploma or FTC in mechanical engineering.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• To operate machinery and equipment in Workshop
• To operate moulds and manufacture products
• To carry out the maintenance and repair of machinery and equipment.
• To carry out electrical installation, maintenance and repair works.
• To carry out civil works and manufacture wood products
• To undertake drafting of engineering drawing
• Perform any other duties as may be assigned by

(i) All applicants must be Citizens of Tanzania and not P.O. Box 2476, above 45 years old, however, applicants who are Dar es Salaam above 45 years old and are currently employed in Tanzania the public service should route their application. (vi) Certificates from foreign examination bodies for ordinary or advanced level education should be certified by The National Examination Council of Tanzania (NECTA). .
(vii) Certificates from foreign Universities should be verified by The Tanzania Commission for Universities (TCU).
