LEGAL SERVICES OFFICER - Tanzania Ports Authority (TPA)

NATURE OF SCOPE
Tanzania Ports Authority (TPA) was established under the Ports Act No. 17 Of 2004. TheAuthority is vested with the obligation and responsibility of developing, managing and promoting Maritime Sector in Tanzania mainland.

The major role of TPA is to enhance the advantages of the geographical position of Tanzania's maritime resources.
In light of the above, TPA invites applications from suitably qualified and competent applicants to fill the following vacant posts.

Job title: Legal Services Officer - 6 Posts
Station: Headquarters, Dar Es Salaam
Salary
Grade: TPGS 6

Key Responsibilities:

Keeps safe custody of company contracts, confidential documents and securities.
Attends to routine correspondences requiring legal redress.
Implements legal defense and prosecution strategies for cases in which TPA has interest.
Assists in gathering information and evidence on cases involving TPA and complies the necessary information as required.
Perform any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.

Job specifications:
Academic/Basic Qualifications.

First Degree in Laws
Computer literacy.
Working experience
At least one year in the field.

REMUNERATION
The successful candidate will be offered an attractive and competitive remuneration package commensurate with Tanzania Ports Authority (TPA) salary scales as shown against the post.
