Job purpose: The Communications Officer shall lead, support the design and delivery of communications components 'of the project and will report to the Senior Programme Manager.

Effective Communications approaches are in place at different levels of the project, including social media, publications, web pages

Project documentation/ progress is turned into effective communications pieces for sharing externally with a wide range of audiences, including youth, communities, the donor and government

At least 6 years 01 experience working in Communications
Professional experience working on large projects, achieving outcomes within set timeframes
Fluent in English and Swahili
Master's degree in relevant area and/or equivalent work experience
Experience working on Communications and engagement with media, including social media
Demonstrable expertise of using different communications techniques, including developing strategy to make this work effective and aligned with advocacy objectives
Experience in working with youth .
Experience in engaging with radio and TV shows for supporting awareness raising and advocacy
Desirable: well networked in this area of work with the media/journalists in Tanzania
Strong verbal and written communication skills

project and will report to the Senior Programme Manager.

The Governance and Advocacy component of the project is achieved to a high standard as per the project proposal. .
Effective advocacy approaches are in place at different levels of the project supporting youth networks to devise and implement strong advocacy strategies.
Strengthened capacity of youth groups and networks with the critical skills and capacities they need to carry out advocacy initiatives, including through training.
Youth groups and networks can effectively engage with government, private and civil society sectors to address issues and challenges associated with youth economic empowerment.
Key duty bearer institutions as well as youth groups are capacitated to work together to find common solutions to the problems identified by the youth in the project.
Evidence is collated on all advocacy initiatives and shared with the Senior Programmes Manager and M&E Officer.
Qualifications, experience &skills
Have experience working on youth participation and empowerment or with community youth groups and or national youth civil society networks
Demonstrable expertise of advocacy techniques, planning and strategy development at a national level.
Proven track record of designing and delivering advocacy trainings
Desirable: well networked in this area of work with local NGOs and CBO in Tanzania
Sound understanding of the policy and legislative process in Tanzania
Strong verbal and written communication skills

Job purpose: To provide timely and reliable financial information and analysis that leads to effective decision making and will report to the Country Finance Manager .
Job Requirements:
Project cash and budget management
Prepare Weekly and monthly Project cash forecasts in a realistic manner
Review Cash Disbursement vouchers, purchase requisitions and orders.
Review payment packages for budget availability and correct coding.
Monitor available budget versus actual arid planned expenditure to ensure budget adequacy and
future budgetary realignments.
Ensure timely processing and disbursement of payments to partners and suppliers
Prepare work plan and budget in coordination with the project team and make sure that all expenditures are according to work plan and budget.
Ensure that partner spending is in line with their agreed budget and inform senior management of any expected deviation for timely action.
Financial reporting
Manage general ledger accounting and entering of project expenditure into the system
Reconcile Accounting software reports with project Reports
Monitor the advances register and Sub-Grantees advances
Ensure Accountability in Preparation, review, consolidation and submission of correct and complete Project Financial reports on time

Internal Financial Controls enhancement
Ensure adherence to financial controls, processes and procedures.
Follow up finance-related audit actions
Participate in Quarterly physical asset and inventory verifications
Partner Coordination and Monitoring
Coordinate" and follow up with partners to submit timely and complete financial reports in accordance with agreements and terms and conditions.
Ensure that partner financial reports are validated periodically by verifying underlying documentation.
Support with capacity building of the financial staff assigned by VSO, UHIKI and CODERT
Training of partners in financial and record maintenance as and when required.
