Officer - Trade Operations (Back Office) (2 positions)
JOB PURPOSE
The Job holder will report to the Manager, Trade Operations (Back Office).

Key Responsibilities
Receive documents submitted under Import Letters of Credit and verify to ensure compliance with LC terms and advise the authority in case of discrepancies for processing their further acceptance. (;
Communicate with customers, processing center teams and business partners for LCs, Bank Guarantees and other transactional issues.
Establish and draft Letters of Credit/Bank Guarantees.
Prepare documents on behalf of clients for negotiation under Export
Letters of Credit and Collections as per the Service Level Agreement.
Diarize events such as LC collection due dates, Acceptance, Guarantees and Fees and; follow up on due dates,
Ensure all internal compliance requirements are adhered to.
Prepare advices for Export Letters of Credit, Amendments and dispatch documents to overseas banks and follow up with acceptance/payment.
Book transactions related to trade operations in the banking core system.
Process Import and Export Collections.
Collect fees/commissions on Letters of Credit and bank Guarantees.
Prepare response on enquiries from Client, Business Partners and overseas banks.
Update related status log for Trade Finance products and prepare clients monthly reporting. .
Perform any other related duties as may be assigned from time to time.
Qualification, Knowledge and Experience
Essential
Graduate or its equivalent with at least three years bank experience.
Possession of skills for standard Import/Export Letters of Credit for final payment and settlement.
Logical with an accurate eye for detail.
Flexible and resilient team player.
Working knowledge of UCP600, ISP98, URDG7S8, URCS22, URRS2S,
SWIFT systems.
Practical working knowledge of banking guidelines and BOT regulations.
Preferred
Knowledge of banking systems and products.
Working knowledge ofTrade Finance operations and documentation.
Good communication and writing skills.
Computer Literate.
