Role based in Tanzania, Uganda, Ethiopia or Rwanda
It’s hard to believe that today 748 million people still don’t have clean, safe water and 2.5 billion live without a toilet. The resulting diseases kill one child every minute.
WaterAid is looking for a Regional People Lead – East Africa to play a vital role in our mission to transform lives with safe water, sanitation and hygiene in the world’s poorest communities.
Working within The People Team, the Regional People Lead will provide proactive, customer focused support through partnering with the East Africa region, and supporting the leadership of Country Programmes and HR roles to achieve organisational performance through excellent people management. Additionally, the Regional People Lead will be a key member of the People and Organisational Department (The People Team) and the wider global people/HR function in the delivery of the people dimensions of the Global Strategy.
To be successful, you’ll need to have professional HR qualifications at degree and/or post graduate level, extensive experience in managing and effectively delivering large scale change, HR programmes and OD initiatives in a complex organisation, and excellent people management skills in a global organisation.
