Internal Auditor - Kilombero Sugar Company

Kilombero Sugar Company, the largest producer of sugar in the country, is inviting a dynamic and result oriented person to fill a vacancy of Internal Auditor existing in the Company. This position involves to carry out the testing of the internal controls pertaining to Kilombero Sugar Company Limited (KSCL) and Illovo Distillers Tanzania Limited (IDTL), such that conformation of the standards as required by the IIlovo Group's Internal Control Matrix (ICM) are met, as well as to assist both internal and external audit during their visits to the estate. In addition, the candidate will be required to assist the Tax and Compliance Manager with his/her reporting responsibilities in terms of compliance with respective legislative regulations.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
The appropriate candidate sought for this position must have minimum of three (3) years' experience in Internal Audit, Undergraduate studies in Accounting, Auditing, Business Management and Finance. Advanced excel skills are imperative for this position. CPA will be preferred qualification. In addition, he/she should be someone that portrays a positive and assertive altitude, keenness to develop, and should be a "self starter". The applicant must be someone with the ability to set and attain high performance standards whilst under pressure.
Tasks:
Testing of internal controls in line with IIIovo Group's ICM requirements and annual testing programme - to report up to Tax and
Compliance Manager.
Review and reporting on weighbridge exception reporting.
'Fixed Asset verification.
Monthly GL reconciliation completeness verifications.
Stock count procedural enforcement and testing, and reporting thereof to the Finance Manager.
Developing and improving internal controls to reduce waste and minimise loss to KSCL and IDTL.
Through internal control testing and procedures performed to reduce waste and minimise loss, the candidate is expected to report monthly to the Finance Manager and other HODs on areas of possible improvement.

TERMS OF SERVICE: The successful candidate will be engaged on a permanent contract.
