ORGANIZATIONAL SETTING
The Women and Trade Programme (W&T) provides the overarching framework for the management and coordination of projects with a common objective: to use trade as a vehicle for increasing income and employment of women in developing countries, focusing on women entrepreneurs and women working in export-oriented value chains. The programme comprises a range of projects that are managed within the various divisions of ITC.

In order to support the implementation of the Programme, ITC is seeking to hire a Programme Assistant. The position is located in the Women and Trade team, in the Division for Business and Institutional Support's Trade Support Section.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Under the direct supervision of the Senior Programme Adviser and under the general guidance of the Senior Officer Millennium Development Goals (MDGs), the incumbent will be responsible for the following duties:
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
EDUCATION: High school diploma or equivalent.
WORK EXPERIENCE: A minimum of five years of experience in programme or project administration, technical cooperation or related area. Experience in the organisation of large events.
LANGUAGES: Advanced knowledge of English with a working knowledge of French. Knowledge of other UN official languages is an asset
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS: Knowledge of UN and/or ITC administrative procedures and tools (IMIS or other ERP systems).
