Capitalising on the launch of our new 5-year national strategy (2011 – 2015), Restless Development Tanzania is taking up a position as the national banner carrier for youth-led development – demonstrating at the grassroots and policy levels that young people can and must play a leading role in development. Restless Development is cited as a model of best practice by the World Bank, the UK Department for International Development, UNICEF, and UNAIDS.
We are seeking a dynamic individual who believes in the values and mission of Restless Development Tanzania, and has the skills, time and energy to commit to this important role. You will provide oversight, guidance and support to Restless Development Tanzania working closely with the Director and Management Committee to ensure we are well positioned, sustainable and accountable.
You will chair quarterly national board meetings, and work with the Director to develop a diverse, skilled and motivated national board. You will be an ambassador for our work and pro-actively support the growth of the organisation towards its mission and strategy in Tanzania.
If you're passionate about youth-led development, have experience in strategic oversight and excited at the opportunity to represent Restless Development Tanzania as an ambassador then we'd love to hear from you.
To apply: Please send your CV and Cover Letter outlining your experience and interest in this role to jobs@restlessdevelopment.org with the subject header 'Tanzania Chair'.
