The Revenue Watch Institute (RWI) is a non-profit policy institute that promotes responsible management of oil, gas and mineral resources for the public good. RWI provides knowledge on extractive industries to governments, parliamentarians, civil society and the media through training, research, and policy analysis. RWI also provides funding and facilitation of multi-stakeholder engagements in policy process so as to help countries realize the benefits of their natural resources. For more information about RWI, please visit www.revenuewatch.org.
RWI has recently merged with the Natural Resource Charter (NRC), a move that advances the organization's commitment to strengthening its intellectual contributions to the field. The NRC-framework gives guidance on the chain of complex economic decisions that have to be made in order to transform extractive wealth under the ground into sustainable development above ground. Building on the principle that these decisions are multifaceted, interlinked, and involve many different actors, the Charter provides a coherent framework for comprehensive and inclusive decision making. More information about the Natural Resource Charter is available at www.naturalresourcecharter.org.
