Job description -
- To manage and develop allocated key accounts by maintaining current sales and identifying new opportunities for the company’s products and services to new customers.
- To work closely with allocated customers, leverages new solutions, and offers input in regard to tactical business strategies.
- Principle Accountabilities
- Key Account Management
- To create and nurture strategic relationships with allocated key accounts.
- To identify and develop new business opportunities within allocated key accounts.
- To take the lead and work proactively with other parts of the business to resolve any issues at allocated key accounts.
- To develop and execute key account plans.
- Pipeline Management
- To prospect for new and ongoing business in allocated key accounts and update opportunities weekly on salesforce.com
- To develop and maintain a 3X Pipeline (3 times required revenue quota).
- Sales Execution
- To execute and follow solution selling methodology.
- To achieve individual quota of sales for all allocated products, solutions and services.
- To understand and expedite order entry process.
- To assist in monitoring and facilitation of cash collection for outstanding debtors.
- To follow up promptly on sales leads generated by marketing activity.
- To develop, assist and maintain sales lead qualification processes including entering and tracking through Salesforce.com.
- Knowledge Management
- To develop and maintain domain expertise in target / vertical industry(s).
- To develop and maintain expertise in the company's products, solutions & services.
- To provide feedback to Global Product Teams.
- To share knowledge with local and global sales teams.
- To actively seek to continuously improve skills and knowledge.
- Teamwork
- To work cooperatively with local and global colleagues.
- To actively participate in team meetings.
- To provide reports and information as requested.
- To adhere to company policies and processes.
- Marketing
- To participate in trade shows, conferences, and other marketing events as required.
- To actively work with customers to generate case studies, white papers and success stories that can be utilized by the company’s sales network.
- General
- To ensure that all standard operating procedures are adhered to.
- To ensure professional standards are maintained in all business situations.
Candidate Requirements-
- Bachelor Degree or National Diploma
- Relevant Sales experience (3 to 5 years) in an industrial field, preferably Mining
- Experience in Automation systems or electricity distribution equipment a plus
