Office Management Secretary I (OMS I) (1 Post)
(a) Qualifications and Experience:
Applicant must be a Holder of a Diploma in Office Management from a recognized institution with a typing speed of 50 wpm, manuscript and tabulation III, office practice and secretarial duties II with shorthand speed of 120 wpm or Stage II Computer Course with a relevant working experience of at least eleven years in a reputable organization.
(b) Duties and Responsibilities
(i) Type confidential matters;
(ii) Deal with all appointment schedules for the relevant Executive Officer
(iii) Handle all incoming and outgoing mails, files, faxes and e-mail messages and ensures they are property channeled to respective destinations.
(iii) Take minutes at meetings.
(iv) Handle all official travel related matters for the relevant Executive officer.
(v) Receive and directs visitors;
(vi) Receive telephone calls and take messages;
(vii) Handle travel arrangement on duty for Seniors and other members of the Unit/department;
'(viii) Co-ordinate secretarial functions with other departments. (ix) Co-ordinate all office needs and requirements;
(x) Ensure expedient, accurate and clean execution of duties;
(xi) Coordinate and supervise junior secretarial staff in the University
(xii) Ensure expedient, accurate and clean execution of duties;

(xiv) Perform any other duties as may be assigned by the relevant authorities.
(c) Salary Scale: PMGSS 8
