Job Title: Livestock Officer

We are looking for an ambitious, experienced and driven person to join our dynamic team at SAT.

Key roles and responsibilities
1. Oversee the day to day management of the livestock projects
2. Establish and manage the livestock component at SAT farm (Animal Management and production, Animal breeding and nutrition, Pasture management, Marketing of animals and animal products, conduct Animal production projections, Administrative, planning and advisory responsibilities.
3. Conduct trainings for farmers in villages and at the farmer training centre in Vianzi
4. Lead and carry out experiments on different technologies and innovations in organic livestock keeping
5. Develop session plans and training materials on organic agriculture
6. Performing any other duties related to his/her work as assigned by his/her manager.

Qualifications
1. Diploma in Animal Science, Animal Health or Animal Production.
2. Knowledge of Ethnoveterinary medicine is an added advantage
3. Minimum 5 years experience working in the livestock sector specifically production, training and extension
To be based in Morogoro at SAT farm in Vianzi (20 Kms. From Morogoro town).
