The role
We are currently seeking a talented Project Manager to assist the Africa Division in Tanzania with the coordination and management of a road and infrastructure project. this is a senior role and will involve leading or assisting with project management and overseeing all technical and administrative aspects of the project.
With a minimum of fifteen years' experience in road and infrastructure management, you will play a key role in the management of a major urban road project, including:
- Directing project team members and providing guidance and technical advice;
- Reviewing design and contract documents and advising the Client of any deficiencies;
- Taking necessary measures in order to enable the contract to be completed in a timely and cost effective manner;
- Preparing monthly progress reports;
- Performing regular inspection of the works;
- Instituting quality control and quality assurance measures;
- Checking project deliverables, including drawings, reports, analysis and studies by others in relation to the agreed project deliverables; and
- Carrying out any other duties assignemd by your Supervisor.
Suitable applicants will hold:
- 15+ years of practical experience in road and infrastructure management, preferably in an urban environment.
- 5+ years of experience as a Resident Engineer
- Proficiency with FIDIC conditions of contracts
- Appropriate Civil Engineering Degree, preferably a Master's Degree
