Position Description:
Maendeleo Bank PLC. Commenced operations in September 2013 as a regional bank with its headquarters at Luther House, Sokoine Drive - Dar es Salaam. Maendeleo Bank is the first bank in Tanzania to be registered in Dar es Salaam Stock Exchange (DSE) from its start.
The Bank wishes to recruit qualified personnel to fill the following vacant positions within the Bank.
Reporting toIT Manager and will be. Responsible for day today user problem resolution, modifications and enhancements of system as required to meet business needs.
Key Accountabilities:
-Work with all departments to resolve day today user system issues.
-Ensure End of day and backups are done on daily basis
-Work with all departments to resolve day today user system issues.
-Ensure that CCTV are running and updates are taken on daily basis and its backups
-Configure, setup and run routine processes such as metadata input, routing of documents for storage, archiving and file restoration
-Routine monitoring of all daily logs and exception reporting produced by the system.
-Investigate and resolve all events reported on the logs and reports to ensure the system runs at optimum performance - levels.
-Participate in disaster recovery planning and tests. Lead all recovery activities for the Core banking system and assist with the recovery of other Bank systems as required
Core Competencies:
-Good understanding of system administrator function for a Windows or Unix system.
-Understanding of web design and some knowledge in Firewalls, Cyberoam, ASA,or SONIC WALLS.
-Ability to read, analyzes, and interprets general business documentation, professional,Journals, technical specifications and project management documentation.
-Ability to maintain Daily backups of and update on Disaster recovery sites
-Ability to do End of day and update daily reports on core banking system.
-High level of integrity and honesty.
Qualifications/Experience:
-Be a holder of a University Degree in computer science or any
-IT related field from a recognized institution.
-Passion and commitment to meet business expectation
-Excellent organizational, planning and analytical skills
-Ability to work well under pressure with strict deadlines and limited supervision
