The Vecna Cares Charitable Trust (www.vecnacares.org), the charitable arm of Vecna, (www.vecna.com), has been implementing simplified and mobile health information technology solutions in Kenya and Tanzania since 2009. Adapted from Vecna's patient self-service administrative kiosk, CliniPAK is a simplified workflow-based EMR providing longitudinal patient data, clinical decision support, and reporting capabilities. Vecna Cares is looking for a driven, self-directed project manager capable of adapting quickly and working flexibly as current projects evolve and new projects are initiated. The project manager will be responsible for on-the-ground coordination and implementation, relationship building and solution design.
Responsibilities:
Represent Vecna to local government and organizations to institutionalize program and foster partnerships and resources
On-site technical troubleshooting and coordination with Boston team: networking, software deployment, and data management
Training of health care workers in using and administering CliniPAK
Gain an intimate knowledge of health care delivery systems to develop workflows and reports with full data capture
Documentation and process building

Requirements:
Ability to work independently with little supervision
Problem-solving skills and resourcefulness. Willingness to do everything and anything.
Willingness to travel and live in local rural environment.
Resilience and ability to work alone in potentially unsupported settings.
Bachelor's degree and 1-4 years work experience
Desired: Technical skills - SQL, Linux (Most importantly a willingness to search for and implement solutions independently); Experience working in health in developing countries (Africa and EMR's preferred); Experience in training or adult learning
