Working cooperatively with numerous internal MasterCard functions, this individual is critical to the successful deployment of MasterCard EMV and contactless technology within the APMEA region.
Main area of responsibilities includes:
Customer Delivery
Establish responsibility for providing full cycle delivery support for EMV and PayPass across the respective division, ensuring robust project management, performance management and output quality across all phases of the delivery process. This includes synchronizing the strategy with the team for greater synergy in the whole AP and MEA regions. Rigorous project management discipline to track project milestones at country or project level. Lead initiative from concept stage through to execution whilst managing cross-functional partners Lead and manage a cross functional project team within the respective division, in a central coordination role, leveraging experience from successful EMV/PayPass initiatives throughout the region Contribute to the EMV/PayPass pipeline development, working with the country and account managers to prioritize EMV, PayPass and other contactless projects and initiatives. Maintain strong collaborative relationships with the GPS team, regional liaisons and account teams to support successful product delivery and development. Assistance to the local Account team on EMV/PayPass funding supports to help build business cases for projects involving advance technologies. Work with banks and vendors on the solutions/ support and information needed to meet the banks requirements and business needs. Provide necessary training to the local MasterCard staff, banks and vendors to support the implementation cycle Work with the local Customer Support Team (ops) to share the load of planning and managing project implementations in the key area of responsibilities. Work closely with vendors in the implementation process to ensure smooth delivery of the project.
Key Qualifications: Deep understanding of MasterCard products and services Strong and proven experience in the payments industry and deep understanding of NFC, RFID and other contactless applications Ability to identify issues before they develop into problems; proactively resolve issues directly or through escalation to appropriate partners
Extensive, proven project management, problem solving and planning skills with a demonstrated record of success managing multiple projects with external and internal clients simultaneously, is required Understand Customer and constituent needs, marketplace dynamics, industry trends and the competitive landscape. Experience working across multiple levels, functions and regions; able to clearly communicate complex technical and business information in an easy to understand manner; able to effectively deliver messages both verbally and in writing Strong project management capabilities - strategic, highly organized and able to attend to critical details.
