Amani Children’s Home in Moshi, Tanzania is searching for an ambitious Executive Assistant, with a love for children, an exemplary work ethic, years of solid experience and an endless enthusiasm for pursuing a high standard of excellence, personally and professionally, to join our management team as we grow our organization, rooted in our mission of embracing homeless children and nurturing them to become self-sufficient young adults and productive members of their communities.

In addition, the ideal candidate will meet the following experience and education criteria:
•7+ years of senior administrative experience •Experience working in a non-profit/NGO fast-paced environment •Experience working closely with other cultures •Experience traveling and living in emerging nations •Bachelor’s degree (with preference to Master’s) •Experience and expertise with technology and computers •Experience being responsible and held accountable for proven results •Experience anticipating problems and resolving issues
The Executive Assistant will provide overall administrative support to the Executive Director, making a vital contribution to efficient office operations with particular attention to detail and focus on results.
Some of the specific tasks the chosen candidate will be required to perform include:
•Schedule, arrange, attend and coordinate meetings – prepare presentations, take minutes, summarize discussions and follow-up as needed •Oversee a high volume of communications, especially email – Draft responses, edit or offer thoughtful input to Executive Director’s correspondences and follow-up on all communications •Help with management and donor reporting, financial analysis, budgeting and expense reporting •Ensure the integrity and privacy of the children’s database information cross-departmentally •Keep the organization’s job descriptions relevant and assist with recruiting as needed •Conduct internet research, summarize findings and develop recommendations •Promote code of ethics policies and procedures, managing annual reviews •Keep the lines of inter-organization communications running smoothly •Work on special projects alone or in collaboration with other staff members, ensuring progress and conclusions •Offer input and insight into contracts and negotiations •Coordinate travel arrangements for conferences and donor meetings
