The International Planned Parenthood Federation (IPPF) is a global service provider and leading advocate of Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) for all, including those in humanitarian settings. IPPF is seeking a dynamic Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) Adviser with a passion for women’s health for the implementation of SPRINT in the East & South East Asia and Oceania Region (ESEAOR). The successful candidate will join the SPRINT team in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. S/he will ensure effective and accountable implementation of the initiative in the region.
SPRINT is an initiative that seeks to increase timely access to life-saving information and SRH services in humanitarian settings, as outlined in the minimum initial services package (MISP) for reproductive health in crisis situations. SPRINT is entering its second phase and will provide in-depth support to build national capacity for preparedness, response and recovery. It seeks to achieve this through advocacy, training, funding and technical assistance.
MONITORING & EVALUATION (M & E) ADVISER
Key Responsibilities:
· The M & E Adviser is responsible for providing technical direction and to support the monitoring and evaluation of the SPRINT initiative, to advocate and build capacity on M & E learning, and to prepare reports on SPRINT performance.
Essential Selection Criteria:
· Advanced qualification in social sciences, health information systems, public health, international development and/or humanitarian studies, or equivalent
· Minimum of seven years experience in advanced application in monitoring, evaluation and learning, and three years experience in an NGO
· Highly numerate with excellent quantitative data collection and analytical skills, and able to work with statistical packages (e.g. EPI-INFO, STATA, SPSS).
· Strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills, with experience in providing training/technical support to a variety of stakeholders, and working with people from diverse backgrounds
· Strong organizational and time management skills
· Flexibility to work efficiently and energetically with a demanding travel schedule (1 week per month) including some hardship countries.
· Enthusiastic and motivated about IPPF’s mission and values.
The above position will initially be offered for a two-year period, subject to review and availability of funds. The salary is negotiable and based on experience and qualifications, but starts at USD60,000 per annum. A detailed job description is available at www.ippfeseaor.org
