a). Required .Qualification
Form IV certificate with credit passes-in Kiswahili and English, plus 80 w.p.m. shorthand and 50 I w.p.m. Wing speed, tabulation and manuscript stage III, secretarial and office procedure stage II. Must have sufficient knowledge in computers in at least word processing spreadsheet, database, e-mails and internet. (Must have computer certificate). Possession of Diploma in
Secretarial studies is mandatory.

b) Duties and Responsibilities
i. Handles confidential matters.

a) Required Qualification
Holder of BSc in Mechanical Engineering, must have been registered as Professional Engineer by relevant ERB.

b) Experience:
At least Four (4) years working experience in similar post or post 6 years’ experience after first degree.
Duties and Responsibilities
i. Responsible for maintenance of all Biomedical equipment and other related infrastructures and facilities;
ii. Plans procurement of necessary spares and equipment;
iii. Advises planning and procurement of necessary spares and equipment;
iv. Carries out independently, routine technical tasks, which require technical knowledge and skills as
v. far as equipment, infrastructures and facilities are Concerned;
vi. Plans maintenance schedules for equipment, infrastructures and facilities;
vii. Prepare pre-acceptance check lists of new equipment for verifying specifications;
viii. Plans maintenance schedules for all equipment, infrastructures and facilities for the University;
ix. Provides professional advice and guidance to University equipment, infrastructures and facilities users;
x. Participates in formulation of policies related to maintenance of University equipment, infrastructures and facilities;
xi. Participates in installation of machinery and equipment;

b) Duties and Responsibilities

i. Drives pool University vehicles safely.
ii. Maintains logbooks.
iii. Ensure safety of passenger (s) during driving
iv. Ensures safe-keeping of the vehicle and its tools
v. Maintains disciplined behaviour, smartness and proper conduct in rendering services.

ii. Up-keeps and maintains x-ray equipments and supervising sterilized radiology instruments in the unit.
iii. Ensures quality diagnosis of x-rays taken.
iv. Keeps and maintaining patients x-ray waiting for seniors to interpret and give results.
v. Supervises and training junior staff in the unit.
vi. Provides technical advice on radiation in the unit.
vii. Prepares contrast media and chemicals for x-rays.

iv. Participates fully in morning clinical sessions, patients' presentation and journal clubs
v. Conduct research in their respective fields of specializations.
vi. Participate fully in the teaching of medical students, and supervision of medical doctors, and other health professionals. Participates in Medical Boards as may be appointed.
vii. Initiates, Creates and plans strategies to improve his/her professional services.
viii. Provides Medical legal advice when required.
ix. Performs any other Duties and Responsibilities related to his/her work as assigned by his/ her superior.
