• To carry business In geothermal drilling for steam and hot water, well testing and logging, reservoir assessment and management;

• To promote geothermal business and developer of alternative uses of geothermal energy than electricity including watering cultures, therapeutic uses, geothermal bathing, drying of farm products and all industrial and non-industrial uses;

Report to: Director Business Development
Directorate: Business Development
Job Purpose:
To plan development projects and overseeing their implementation including participating in the strategic planning process, business development, research and development, as well as packaging of major geothermal projects for power generation and direct applications.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities
• Planning development projects and programs and oversees their implementation in line with the mission and goals of the organization. Participate in project identification, planning, packaging, negotiation and monitoring the performance.
• Participates in the formulation of company strategy, short and long term plans, budgets, coordination, monitoring and evaluation of the results.
• Manage the department's business strategy, plans and their implementation
• Participates in soliciting funds from different sources for supporting the projects.
• Prepare plans-and budgets for the planning section.
• Review work performance of staff in the planning section including their development
• Provides leadership and ensure effective management of staff and resources and ensure good industrial/employee relations within the planning section.
• Perform any other related duties as assigned from time to time by the supervisor.
Minimum Qualifications & Experience
• Master's Degree in Engineering, Earth Sciences, Business, management, Economics or relevant field.
• Registration with ERB or member of a relevant professional body is an added advantage
• Minimum of three (3) years working experience in Project Planning in energy or related sector.
• At least two (2) years of working experience in Donor
• Funded Projects or International Organizations.

TERMS OF, EMPLOYMENT:
Permanent & Pensionable including six months of probation for other positions than Manager Planning & Projects. Man- ager Planning & Projects will be on three (3) years renewable contract.
REMUNERATION:
.A competitive package (according to existing Salary Structure) will be offered to successful candidates.
