Role overview
We are looking for a dynamic and influential person to join VSO Tanzanian Team as a National Volunteer in the Election FOS II Project. The project's goal is to contribute to a transparent Referendum and national elections in 2015 where citizens particularly youth can actively participate as voters, contestants as well as monitors.Your responsibility will be to ensure quality project outcome delivery within the project budget and scope. The person we are looking for will, be qualified to degree level, have at least 2 years experience in managing projects. |
Skills, qualifications and experience required
The person we are looking for will be able to demonstrate strengths in the following areas: Essential: • Experience and knowledge of the governance sector in Tanzania. • Experience of managing projects and delivering expected benefits in challenging contexts to tight deadlines. • Proven experience of strategic thinking, including identifying, analyzing, problem-solving and responding to opportunities and challenges. • Excellent oral and written communication skills with an ability to vary communication content and style to suit audiences to inform motivate and inspire. • Ability to build effective working relationships, inspiring confidence and credibility with employees at all levels. • Ability to manage project Financial Expenditures. • Able to find innovative ways of solving or pre-emptying problems. • Ability to manage a project in a climate of change, recognizing and being open to ambiguity, uncertainty and opportunities. Desirable • Practical experience gained within a volunteering/ NGO context. |
