MCC Limited is a Company specifically formed by the Malawi Government to manage, promote and market the Malawi Dar es Salaam Corridor through utilization of facilities, otherwise known as Malawi Cargo Centres (Dar es Salaam/Kurasini Dry Port and Mbeya Dry Port) in Dar es Salaam and Mbeya.
The Company has its registered office in Lilongwe Malawi. A job opportunity now exists in its Dar es Salaam office as follows:
Personal Assistant to General Manager
THE PERSON
Good interpersonal and communication skills within a multi-culture environment
Must have a minimum of five years experience of secretarial work
Fluent in spoken and written English.
Ability to work independently under pressure and maintain confidentiality
Must possess strong computer skills
Must have outstanding writing, editing, data entry and proofreading skills
Ability to prioritise and handle multiple tasks
QUALIFICATIONS
Diploma or Degree in Secretarial Studies/Office Management.
THE JOB
Serving as the primary source of contact in the General Manager's Office.
Receiving official Company correspondence and flagging urgent matters for the day to the General Manager's attention. Organizing hotel and travel reservations for the Company's visitors as well as senior management.
Maintain accurate storage as well as access of Company information and data.
Typing presentable documents and drafting general correspondence.
Maintaining a customer friendly and hospitable environment to Company guests.
Deputizing the Personnel and Administrative Officer as may be required.
Any other duties as assigned by the Company's senior officials.
