The National Institute of Statistics of Rwanda wishes to recruit competent candidates for the following positions:
1. Procurement Officer (1)
Duties & Responsibilities
- To establish and maintain contracting and procurement management procedures;
- To coordinate with Directors for Unit procurement needs;
- To provide projections for future procurement needs for the Institute;
- To prepare an integrated procurement plan that abides by GoR Laws
- To ensure value for money in all NISR financial transactions;
- To ensure all procurement rules are respected
- To monitor all external contracts for the institute in conjunction with the Legal Officer;
- To initiate and manage internal and external audits,
- To do any other task related to the job as may be required by the supervisors.
Required Minimum Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree in Procurement, accounting, public finance, economics, law engineering and other related qualifications
- Solid experience of 2 years in procurement related field.
- Good leadership and management skills;
- Good planning and organizational skills;
- Commitment to quality and ability to think strategically;
- Be result-oriented and demonstrate integrity
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
2. Accountant(1)
Duties & Responsibilities
- To prepare payments alter verifying and analyzing all related supporting documents in accordance with the checklist in place;
- To prepare monthly bank, reconciliations;
- To regularly reconcile check books with cash books and GL;
- To monitor the movements of assigned accounts and make prompt teed back to Director of Finance;
- To prepare statement of, expenditures as per donor requirements and for the assigned accounts;
- To be responsible for cash and credit transactions for the NISR on a daily basis;
- To work with donors and establish detailed direct payments done;
- To interpret and reconcile the CDRs and other consolidated reports;
- To keep the NISR management accounts;
- To prepare and produce monthly quarterly and annual financial reports;
- To Initiate and manage internal and external audits;
- Management of fixed assets in terms of Book Value appraisal;
- To ensure safe custody of all financial information;
- To do any other task related to the job as may be required by the supervisors.
Required Minimum Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree in Accounting,
- IFAC, ACCA, CPA will be an added advantage,
- Solid experience of 2 years in Accounting.
- Be result-oriented and demonstrate integrity
- Good planning and organizational skills;
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
