TEAM LEADER - Cat I:
- An advanced university degree (MA/MSc) in Agriculture, Agriculture Economics, Economic Development Studies or a related discipline;
- Fluency in English, both written and oral
- Kiswahili would be an asset
- Excellent communications skills and ability to interact with high level government officials, international
development partners (DPs), NGOs, etc.
- At least 10 years of professional experience in the analysis, design and/or delivery of economic, agriculture or rural development cooperation programmes;
- Solid knowledge of EU policies and processes, in particular those related to development cooperation.
- Expertise on development issues in particular, agriculture, food security and nutrition in Sub-Saharan
Africa or developing countries;
- Previous experience or solid knowledge on Agriculture statistitics
- Expertise on gender mainstreaming and sex disaggregated data
- Good knowledge on sustainable agricultural production and market development, value chains, public private partnerships;
- Knowledge of other international DPs, in particular of international/development financial institutions
- Professional experience gained in the Eastern Africa region or in the related field
- Previous experience in Tanzania in the related sector would be an asset
- Previous experience in similar assignments with EU or other donor would be an asset
- Expertise in monitoring and evaluation would be an advantage
EXPERT 2
- An advanced university degree (MA/MSc) Rural Infrastructure Agriculture Economics, Rural Development Studies or a related discipline.
- Fluency in English, both written and oral
- Kiswahili would be an asset
- Excellent communications skills and ability to interact with high level government officials, international donors, NGOs etc.
- Cooperative, constructive, dynamic attitude
- At least 10 years of professional experience in the design or implementation of development cooperation programmes;
- Strong expertise in rural infrastructure (feeder roads, irrigation, warehouse, markets, etc)
- Previous experience in designing, implementing rural infrastructure projects link to agriculture development
- Previous experience in Africa or Tanzania
- Previous experience in East Africa or Tanzania in the related sector would be an asset
- Expertise in monitoring and evaluation would be an advantage
EXPERT 3
- An advanced university degree (MA/MSc) Agriculture Rural Development Studies or a related discipline.
- Specialisation in nutrition
- Fluency in English, both written and oral
- Kiswahili would be an asset
- Excellent communications skills and ability to interact with high level government officials, international donors, NGOs etc.
- At least 6 years of professional experience in the analysis, design and/or delivery of economic, environment, natural resources management or rural development co-operation programmes;
- Solid knowledge of EU policies and processes, in particular those related to development food security and nutrition
- Solid knowledge of agriculture, food security and nutrition policies in Tanzania and/or East Africa
- Previous experience with nutrition intervention
- Previous experience in designing or implemnting social cash transfer intervention
- Previous experience in Tanzania in the related sector would be an assest
