National Institute for Medical Research
is a Parastatal Organization Was established to carry out, control,
coordinate, register, monitor, evaluate and promote health research in
Tanzania. The Institute is looking for qualified and experienced
Tanzanians to fill the following vacant posts to be based at various
NIMR Centres.
Position: Human Resources Manager - 1 Post
Duty Station: NIMR - Headquarter
Qualifications and Experience:
Holder of Post graduate degree in Public/Business Administration, Personnel Management, Human Resources Management, coupled with at least eleven years working experience in Human Resources Management in a senior position in a reputable organization.

Duties and responsibilities:
- In-charge of all administrative and personnel functions of the Institute
- To develop, recommend and administer manpower policies and procedures on recruitment, training, wages and salaries, industrial relations and welfare To review and advise on detailed training programmes and coordinate implementation
- To review and monitor the preparation of administration and human resources Budget
- To review and recommend changes in incentive scheme, scheme of service and staff regulations from time to time
- To formulate, recommend and ensure adherence to personnel policies and procedures of the institute
- To handle disciplinary cases, labour negotiations, reconciliations and arbitrations
- To coordinate annual staff performance appraisals and submit recommendations, to pertinent appointing authorities
- To formulate and supervise maintenance programmes for estate management, motor vehicles, furniture, office equipment and other facilities. To perform any other duties assigned
