Overview and Mission
The International Diabetes Federation is looking for an experienced Project Officer to join its Policy and Programmes Department to help drive forward its mission to advance diabetes care, prevention and a cure worldwide.
This is a role for a driven individual with a passion for public health and development. IDF is looking for candidates who can demonstrate success in project management and implementation, collaboration with multinational and multicultural teams, and a commitment to improving the lives of people with diabetes.
The Project Officer will coordinate a project aimed at improving care for women with gestational diabetes (GDM) in an emerging country setting. IDF is a leader in the field of Women and Diabetes, and this innovative project is part of our broader efforts to raise the priority of GDM as a maternal health issue, improve the evidence base on GDM and promote best practice in care.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Coordinating and providing support to a small in-country team in an emerging country;
- Leading in the implementation and completion of the GDM Model of Care Project;
- Managing the monitoring and evaluation of the project, including reporting back to IDF Global and funding partners;
- Providing support and materials to experts in the development of the GDM Model of Care;
- Ensuring project deliverables are met on time;
- Coordinating analysis and reporting of project findings.
