Job Title: General Food Distribution Supervisor (Local Position) Base Location: Puntland and Hargesia, Somalia Reporting To: Food Security Officer Job Objective The General food distribution Supervisor has overall responsibility for the effective distribution of food aid in Somalia. As a supervisor for the food monitors the post holder is also expected to actively participate the food distribution activities and communicating with the target beneficiaries. Duties and Responsibilities Supervise the efficient distribution of food items at the site and ensure proper distribution of entitlements and verify appropriate entitlements are distributed. Provide assistance with animal euthanasia and the disposal of remains. Take animals into treatment areas and assist with physical examinations by performing such duties as obtaining temperature, pulse, and respiration data. Care for and monitor the condition of animals recovering from surgery. Maintain instruments, equipment, or machinery to ensure proper working condition. Collect, prepare, and label samples for laboratory testing, culture, or microscopic examination. Perform laboratory tests on blood, urine, or feces, such as urinalyses or blood counts, to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of animal health problems.
