Lawlers Gold Mine is located south of Laverton and has been one of Australia’s leading gold producers for the last 15 years. With continued growth in our underground mining operations and an exciting exploration portfolio, the projected mine life is 4 years based on the current reserves.

We are seeking to recruit Graduate Mine Geologists to join our Underground Mine Geology team at Lawlers . The successful candidate will report to the Senior Geologist (Underground) and will be required to perform the following duties:

Daily grade control production
Core Logging
Geological mapping and interpretation
A high level of interaction with supervisors, engineering department and contractors
Promotion of site safety policies and procedures
Active involvement in Continuous Improvement initiatives

The successful applicant should have the following qualifications/skills;

Recognised tertiary qualifications in Geology or the equivalent
A keen interest in hard rock underground mining environment
Vulcan software experience is considered desirable
Competency in safe working practices
Excellent written and oral communication skills

This position is fly in/fly out from Perth on a 8 days on 6 days off roster. Excellent on-site accommodation is provided. Recreational facilities include internet café, Foxtel, swimming pool, tennis and squash courts & gymnasiuml. Telstra mobile reception is available in camp.
