ActionAid International (AAI) is an international organisation, working with over 15 million people in 45 countries for a world free from poverty and injustice. We are now expanding our internal audit function to ensure we provide an increased level of assurance to the Senior Leadership Team and the Board over the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls, risk management and governance. This is creating exciting career opportunities for International Auditors who are looking to develop their expertise and do worthwhile work.

As an International Auditor, you will report to the Head of Internal Audit and perform objective risk-based examinations and evaluations of the internal controls in operation and financial management processes. You will also review and report on the adequacy of these controls identifying weaknesses and recommending solutions. We will look to you to produce stakeholder reporting. You will be involved in other assurance work in support of Management and the Board in their roles too.

To achieve this, you will ideally hold a professional CCAB accounting qualification and have previous experience of performing internal audits. You will demonstrate knowledge of risk based audit techniques, risk management and internal control issues as well as a good understanding of financial management. Experience of working in the not for profit/development sector would be an advantage.
