The Nairobi offices employ 90 staff and we have a new vacancy for a Content Accountant to join the Finance team. We are looking for a part or fully qualified Accountant with excellent stakeholder management skills who can work independently in our Nairobi office. There will be an element of regional and international travel involved.
Role Responsibility
Reporting to the Finance Business Partner in London, you will work within divisional business teams and to be responsible for providing professional financial support to the Business Managers, Editors, Budget Holders and Centre of Excellence teams. Working closely with your stakeholders, you will help with driving business performance and decision making and present information to a non-financial audience. You will review short, medium and long terms business plans and meet month end timetable requirements. Working closely with the wider Finance team in London, you will be able to work independently at all times.
The Ideal Candidate
The successful candidate will be a part or fully qualified Accountant from a recognised Accounting body. With a strong track record of managing budgets and financial reporting, you will have the ability to structure and read detailed financial data. Experience of working with stakeholders and advising non-financial managers of cost and budget issues is essential. We need your excellent planning and time management skills and ability to manage conflicting tasks and priorities. Fluency in English is required and you will have the ability to manage remote communications.
