Assistant Professor in International History (History of Gender)
Salary is competitive with Departments at our peer institutions worldwide and not less than £53,004 pa inclusive

The Department of International History is seeking to make an appointment in the history of gender since c. 1800 with a transnational or comparative perspective. We are seeking exceptional candidates with outstanding research potential and a developing record of publications in gender history with a transnational or comparative perspective.
You will have a completed PhD, or be close to obtaining a PhD, in history by 1 September 2017. You will also have a track record of internationally excellent publications, or a trajectory of internationally excellent writings in history and proven ability, as evidenced by existing publications in refereed international journals or with leading book publishers based on research that is, or has the potential to be, internationally excellent and, ideally, world-leading in terms of originality, significance and rigour. Candidates should have a proven ability to teach at undergraduate level.
