Western Zone Tobacco Growers Cooperative Union Ltd is vested with the duties of providing high quality services to all tobacco farmers within the Region. Currently the Union is wishing to recruit highly motivated and dynamic staffs to fill in the following positions:

EXTENSION - OFFICER (ONE POST)
Key:- Responsibilities
Plans, Implements and evaluate farmers agriculture development programs in the locality.
Provides agricultural information and advice to farmers in primary Societies on their requests or on regular visit.
Propagate farming and development programs aimed at reaching marginalized farmers who have scant modem farming knowledge.
Assist tobacco - growers and other allied crops in developing farming strategies for bumper harvest.
Making Research into farm' - diseases, .and publishes information to combat crop diseases.
To work in close collaboration with the farming communities helping them to ultimately help themselves and thus become more self reliant and Independent.
Conduct on field training on best farming practice by demonstrating a sample farming frame.
And other duties/responsibilities as assigned by Branch Manager.

Academic – qualification
Holder of Diploma in Agriculture Science with at least three (03) years work - experience in reputable organization preferably in Agriculture Co-operative environment.

Age within
(30 - 45) years

Salary
As per WETCU Ltd scale (WETCU 6)

Terms of Service
A two years fixed contact renewable on mutual agreement
