Legal Officer- Contracts
Reports to: Senior Legal Officer - Contracts
Key duties and responsibilities:
In addition assisting the Senior Legal Officer - Contracts, he will perform the following related duties to be assigned
Maintains a register of all documentation related to contracts management and ensure their availability whenever required by Management.
Drafts contracts and others legal documents for the Fund as may be required by supervisor.
Researches and provides data to supervisor on implementation of contracts by the Fund.
Assist in making up on contracts implementation by the Fund's clients and serve appropriate reminders and default notices as may be required.
Keeps in safe custody documentation pertaining to contracts entered by Fund.
Provides periodic reports on the status of Fund's contracts and their performance.
Facilitates correspondences with clients on contracts matters
Follows up with the Attorney General's Chambers on contracts vetting and other related matters.
Represents the Fund in courts of law and tribunals when assigned by the supervisor.
Perform any other such related duties as' may be assigned by his/her superior from time to time.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor Degree in Law.

Key duties and responsibilities:
Assists the Principal Legal Officer - Contracts in ensuring effective execution of all agreements entered between the Fund and other parties.
Prepares draft contracts, amendments of Contracts, Memoranda of understanding, notices and other Legal documents as required by the Fund. .
Carries out research on legislation and other Legal documents pertaining to contracts and provide appropriate advice for improvement of Fund's contracts management function.
Makes regular follow-up on all contracts signed with clients and report on their compliance.
Makes follow-up on publication of legislation relating to Fund's contract management activities and advise appropriately.
Assists in providing Legal advice on various contractual matters to be undertaken by the Fund.
Assists in drafting employment contracts and other Human Resources related contracts in the Fund.
Maintains good working relationships with other departments, and units as well as external stake holder.
Represents the Fund in courts of laws and tribunals for protection of Fund's interests as may be directed by the supervisor.
Performs any other related duties as may be assigned by the Principal Legal Officer - Contracts from time to time.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor Degree in Law and be registered as an Advocate. Additional post graduate qualifications will be an added advantage.
Minimum Experience:
Possession of at least three (3) years' work experience in relevant field.

Principal Legal Officer - Contracts
Reports to: Manager - Contracts
Key duties and responsibilities:
Assists the Contract Manager in ensuring effective Management of all contract issues of the Fund from negotiation, drafting, signing, and implementation to final closure.
Assist the Contract Manager with the preparation and formulation contract documents.
Assist the Contract Manager in ensuring successful negotiation to the final conclusion of contract.
Assist the Contract Manager in the formulation of Fund policies and regulations on risk Management related to contracts.
Assist the Contract Manager in liaison with user department to ensure compliance of the contracts.
Provide the Contract Manager with inputs in providing the Fund with appropriate interpretation of the statutes and agreements relating to the Funds activities.
Represent the Fund in all matters regarding contracts and in cases various judicial bodies.
Prepare periodic reports on contracts management within the Fund and timely propose appropriate actions to ensure the Fund's contractual interests are properly safeguarded.
Perform any other related duties as may be assigned by Contract Manager from time to time.
Minimum Qualifications
Masters' Degree in Law and be registered as an Advocate. Additional post graduate qualifications in the field or others such as Business Administration will be an added advantage.
(a) Minimum Experience:
Possession of at least six (6) years' work experience in relevant field.

Manager -Contracts
Reports 'to: Director of legal Services
Key duties and responsibilities:
Design and implement appropriate systems and Procedures to ensure effective contracts management and protection of the Fund's contractual rights.
Participates in contracts negotiations involving the Fund and build capacity within the Fund to' effectively participate in contracts negotiations.
Prepares, reviews and maintains Fund's Contracts and other legal documents in accordance with the best practices and effectively manages all risks related to' contracts.
Supervises the drafting, reviewing and execution of Fund's contracts and advising Fund's authorities an suitability for signature.
In coordination with Procurement Management Unit, manage Fund's contracts registers and ensures appropriate handling of signed contracts.
Monitors compliance in contracts transactions including performance milestones, deliverable, and
, invoicing, and ensures the Fund is properly guided an taxation matters pertaining to' contracts.
Proposes, reviews and implements the Fund's (contract Management Policy and ensures its objectives are achieved.
Ensures that signed contracts are timely communicated to' all relevant parties for implementation.
Represents the Fund in courts of laws and tribunals in all cases and disputes in which the Fund is involved. .
Ensures high level performance of staff in the Contract Management department.
Performs any other duties time to' time.
Qualifications and Experience
Masters' Degree in Law and be registered as a High Court Advocate. Additional past graduate qualifications in other field suck as, Business Administration will be an added advantage.
(a) Minimum Experience:
Possession of at least six (6) years' work experience in relevant fields.

Legal Officer - Corporate Services
Reports to: Senior Legal Officer - Corporate Services
Key duties and responsibilities:
Actively participates in organization of Board and Management meetings by drafting and ensuring timely circulation of Notices and Memos far the meetings to. the members.
Ensures all legal documents an which the Corporate Seal is affixed are properly registered and a report thereof is submitted to the Senior Legal Officer - Corporate Services for record.
Conducts company searches, land searches and file legal documents with the various Government registries in compliance with the law and far protection of Fund's interests.
Prepares and submit reports and the analysis of the performance of the Baard resolution which have been effectively implemented by the Management of the Fund.
Research an law and provide sound legal opinion on matters to be assigned to him by supervisor.
Under supervision of Senior Legal Officer - Corporate Services, represents the Fund in courts of laws and tribunals to protect Fund's interest.
Maintain close working relationships within the department and with other departments of the Fund.
Perform any other related duties as may be assigned by his supervisor from time to time.
Minimum/Qualifications
Bachelor Degree in Law.

Principal Legal Officer - Corporate Services
Reports to: Corporate Secretarial Services Manager
Key duties and responsibilities:
Assists the Corporate Secretarial Services Manager in ensuring proper Management of Board,
Management and Workers' meetings and handling of all Board issues in line with Fund's policies and regulations.
Coordinates the implementation of Board's and Management Decisions and ensures timely submission of implementation reports.
Assist in the interpretation of Labour laws, Fund's rules, regulations and policies for their effective implementation in maintenance of discipline within the Fund.
Assists the Manager - Corporate Secretarial Services in preparation and implementation of relevant policies, Work plans and budget for the Department
Represents the Fund in various internal and external consultations and negotiations on Legal issues to ensure the Fund's interests are effectively safeguarded.
Attends in Fund's disciplinary sessions to ensure correct legal action are taken and advises Management on the best legal ways of handling staff disciplinary matters.
Organizes Fund's Annual Meetings, work performance evaluation meetings and the Central Joint Masters Workers Council.
Coordinates provision of good working environment with other departments, sections and units

Key duties and responsibilities:
Under the instruction of Senior Legal Officer - Litigation, represents the Fund in the Courts of law and
Tribunals and ensures interests of the Fund are effectively safeguarded.
Drafts pleadings and ensures that all legal requirements have been observed before filing of the same.
Collects and arrange evidences required for effective Litigation for all cases involving the Fund and ensures cases files are properly organized.
Maintains accurate and update data base on key statistics pertaining to all cases involving the Fund and initiate periodic reports on performance of the Litigation function.
Collaborates with process servers and ensures timely service of notices, pleadings and other legal documents.
Performs any other related duties as may be assigned by his supervisor from time to time.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor Degree in Law.

Reports to: Principal Legal Officer -Litigation
Key duties and responsibilities:
Prepares drafts of pleadings for all cases involving the Fund and ensures that the pleadings effectively
safeguards the interests of the Fund.
Under the direction of his supervisor, represents the Fund in. the Courts of laws and Tribunals and emures interests of the Fund are effectively safeguarded.
Prepares periodic reports and analysis on the status of litigation matters within the Fund and ensures Case Registers and Diaries are kept updated.
Under the direction of his supervisor, receives and timely processes requests for opening of cases from other Directorates of the Fund and ensures appropriate legal action is taken.
Researches on legislation and Case precedents and provides inputs to ensure improvement of Litigation management in the Fund.
Maintains good working relationship with the other directorates, departments, units as well as external stakeholders.
Perform any other such related duties as may be assigned by the Principal Officer from time to time .

Under the direction of Litigation Manager, represents the Fund in the courts of laws and tribunals and ensures Fund's interests are effectively safeguarded.
Ensures proper coordination in opening of cases and filing of pleadings for the Fund and maintains effective link between Litigation Department and other Departments of the Fund on all litigation matters.
Researches on legislation and other legal documents and advises the Manager on the best approaches to litigation issues.
Assists the Manager- Litigation in coordinating the activities of outsourced advocates and ensures effective representation of the Fund by outsourced advocates and staff under him.
Prepares and timely submits periodic reports on the performance of litigation matters.
Perform any other such related duties as may be assigned by the Litigation Manager from time to time.
Qualifications and Experience:
Masters' Degree in Law and be registered as a High Court Advocate. Additional post graduate qualifications in the field or others such as Business Administration will be an added advantage.

Assists the Director of Legal Services in the formulation of short and long term work programs pertaining to Litigation matters.
Represents the Fund in the courts of laws and tribunals and ensures Fund's interests are effectively safeguarded.
Researches and assists in the formulation and review of Litigation policy and ensures compliance to the policy.
Assesses and evaluates the performance of litigation function in the Fund and advises the Director of Legal Services on best practices for litigation Management.
Prepares, reviews and maintains Fund's pleadings and other legal documents in accordance with the best practices and effectively manages all risks related to litigation.
Manages Fund's Case Registers, Case Files and ensures proper handling of sensitive cases.
Ensures high level of performance of staff in the Litigation department.
Puts in place reporting systems and timely submits periodic reports on performance of litigation functions.
Maintains good working relationship with internal and external stakeholders.
Performs any other duties as may be assigned by the Director of Legal Services.
